ProJourn partners join a National Association of Women Lawyers panel at the General Counsel Institute
On November 7, 2024, Microsoft’s Beth Henderson, assistant general counsel, and senior pro bono director, Sima Sarrafan, assistant general counsel, Davis Wright Tremaine’s Joanna Boisen, chief pro bono & social impact officer, and ProJourn’s director and legal manager, Flavie Fuentes and Christina Piaia, presented the journey of ProJourn to a room of women lawyers during the 2024 General Counsel Institute.
The panelists discussed the creation of ProJourn and the legal considerations that need to be taken into account when crafting a law firm-corporate relationship, particularly when in-house attorneys get involved in legal areas they don’t have experience with and get trained in.
The panel was moderated by Susan Ombrellaro, senior corporate counsel.
