Karla Burgos-Morón (she/her) is the ProJourn Coordinator.

She provides programmatic support to manage and expand ProJourn, supports operating systems, screens applicants and tracks feedback and impact-related metrics in collaboration with RCFP data specialist and administrator. 

Prior to this role, she worked as the office coordinator for the Keough School’s Washington office. 

Her interest in journalism stems from research she conducted that focused on the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and violence in Mexico amid the War on Drugs at the Kellogg Institute. She collaborated with Article 19 in Mexico, which made her appreciate the vital role played by local journalists. 

She is bilingual in Spanish and has a deep understanding of non-English speaking communities’ unique needs, beyond translation.
